Abstract

Beam-foil spectra of helium taken in the region 280–350 Å show several lines belonging to two-electron excitation states, including some previously unreported ones. Lifetime measurements of some of these levels are made using the stronger lines. Results are compared with recent theoretical calculations by Drake and othere. Preliminary results are also presented on helium-like boron.
