Abstract

The half-life of the 23.8 keV state in 119Sn was measured by the delayed-coincidence technique. The observed value τ 1 2 = 17.75 ± 0.12 ns corresponds to a natural line width for the state of Γ = 0.325 ± 0.002 mm sec . The internal conversion spectrum was measured; the ratios of internal conversion lines for both the 23.8 and 65.3 keV transitions agree with theoretical predictions and previous experiments.
