Abstract

AbstractTechnological innovation. Lifelong learning. Two forces—continual and interwoven—that not only define the workplace in the 21st century, but also demand that workers in every discipline exhibit a commitment to lifelong learning as a fundamental necessity and ingredient for success. For construction companies, the use of computer estimating programs, building information modeling, the Internet, advanced communications devices, and platforms such as Facebook and Twitter has provided more flexibility and connectivity and a need for continued learning.
