Abstract
Lifelong education is a new idea of education and the demand of the new time. From a system perspective, the paper discusses the lifelong education and the significance for sports media professional’s cultivation. Lifelong education is typically a comprehensive system, with the entirety and pertinence as the main features, and is composed of multiple elements. By probing the career demands of sports media professionals in three aspects, the paper lists various approaches which are available to accomplish lifelong education and learning. The paper also presents some combinations, i.e., a combination of university and continuing education, off-job and part-time training, specialty and technical skill cultivation, system education and qualification certification, theory study and practice drilling, and online learning and offline practical operation, which are important to lifelong education and training of sports media professionals.
