Abstract

Cotton mealybug is one of the most widespread invasive mealybug species and cause economically important damages on vegetables, ornamentals and other agricultural crops. This study focused on the determination life table parameters of Phenacoccus solenopsis Tinsley (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) on four different host plants (eggplant, cotton, tomato, and pepper). According to results of this study, eggplant was determined as the most suitable host plants during this study. The highest values of life table parameters were obtained from eggplant (R 0 =184.36 nymphs/female, r=0.269 d -1 , λ=1.309 d -1 , GRR=264.18 nymphs/female).
