Abstract
The strategies of the rural population of Northern Belarus during the difficult period of post-war reconstruction are considered. The sources included both archival documents and oral history materials. Fixation on everyday life made it possible to determine the main life strategies - based on the goal (strategy of survival and adaptation) and the form and method of its implementation. The choice of strategy was determined by social and life resources and the possibility of using them.
