Abstract
LAST YEAR WAS the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts of America, an organization to which I have belonged since childhood. Throughout the year of celebration, I have reflected on the impact of this organization, founded by one woman, influencing myself and many women, young and old in our country. Like Florence Nightingale, Juliette Low came from a life of privilege, yet she founded an organization that gave American girls a strong set of values, a belief in being able to be the best one can be, and to have fun while doing it. 1 Cordery S.A.
