Abstract

The final goal of this chapter is the derivation of the fundamental representations of the double cover of the Poincare group, which we assume is the fundamental symmetry group of spacetime. These fundamental representations are the tools needed to describe all elementary particles, each representation for a different kind of elementary particle. The representations will tell us what types of elementary particles exist in nature.
