Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of leadership styles shown in public organizations on employee voice behavior. Considering the effect of leadership behavior on the employees, the effect of the leadership styles on the employee voice has been investigated. We used three leadership styles which are change oriented, relation oriented, and task oriented leadership styles and also we mean the declaration of ideas, and emotions of employees by the term employee voice. The research is a relational survey. The data were gathered from 341 employees working in a public organization’s departments located in Ankara. The results of the analysis indicated that task oriented leadership style and the employee voice have a significant relationship in the same direction and the other leadership styles do not have a significant relationship with employee voice.
