Abstract

Objective: To verify the influence of the nurse's leadership on the performance of the nursing team in public health; as well as, to clarify the influencing factors of the nurse's leadership in public health, based on the evidenced bibliography and to highlight the nursing leadership in public health. Method: This is a qualitative research of the type integrative literature review, carried out through a survey in electronic databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL - BIREME) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo). Results: The concept of leadership is directly linked to the nurse's profession, and it is necessary in all areas of his performance, it is related to the characteristics of each professional and certainly enhancing the successes within the nursing area. Conclusion: The nurse's leadership in public health increases the visibility of the profession and stimulates the search for professional excellence.
