Abstract
Literature-based review of libraries and information services in Vietnam. Briefly gives background information about Vietnam and summarizes colonial and pre-1975 library developments. Explains the approach to libraries and information in communist Vietnam. Discusses the following: the National Library, bibliographic control, public and other libraries, information networks. Concentrates on the current situation. Summarizes developments regarding training, international links, automation and conservation.
