Abstract
This paper summarises the LHC potential for pp physics, with emphasis on aspects relevant to the study of High-Energy Cosmic Rays (HECR). A few examples are discussed, namely forward physics, which gives access to the highest energies, and searches for the Higgs boson, dark matter candidate particles, and black holes.
