Abstract

Phraseological Verbs in Ilham Aliyev's Speech Summary In this article, studying the speech of President Ilham Aliyev from the point of view of Azerbaijani linguistics, 9 phrasal verbs are examined and their processing functions are indicated. "Pay attention, give instructions, show an effort, keep word, give start, show caution, sit down" in the article are motivational verbs, "go to a new level" is political, and "have eyes closed" is a negative phraseological verb. The scientist who wrote the article presents one of the listed verbs as native (Azerbaijani), as brother (Turkish), as international (English), as post-soviet functional (Russian).
