Abstract
An analysis of the settlement data of thirteen known bronze age sites of Palestine (Tell Abu Hawam, Tell el'Adjoul, Ashdod, Tell Beit Mirsim, Bethel, Beth Shemesh, Tell el Far'ah, Tell Halif, Hazor, Jericho, Megiddo, Tell Naglia and Tell Ta'anach). The author compares the various structures to see if a pattern for the period emerges. Her synthesis offers an overview of private buildings and urbanism in general.
