Abstract

This paper proposes an analysis on the notion of logical reasons in sound evaluation as a system for evidence valuation in trials. To do so, two models of logic that seems to be suitable for that object are putted forward: factual and non monotonic logics. Before the conclusions are drawn four sentences held by Chilean superior courts in cases that sound evaluation has to be applied are examined in light of those two models of logic.
