Abstract This chapter surveys some of the most important issues in Romance lexical stability and shared lexicon. It covers semantic fields, numerals, kinship terminology; colour terms; body parts; calendar terms; animal names; Latinisms. Specific topics dealt with include: pan-Romance survivals and shared lexicon; nouns in DÉRom list; adjectives in DéRom list; lexical stability, shared lexicon, and semantic fields (numerals, kinship terminology, colour terms, body parts, calendar terms, domestic and wild animals), relic words, Latinisms.
