Abstract

Memorializes Lewis Paeff Lipsitt (1929-2021). In 1957, Lew joined the faculty at Brown University where he taught until retirement (1996) when he was named Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Medical Science and of Human Development. Committed to sharing his knowledge and skills in psychology, Lew held numerous leadership positions including three terms on the American Psychological Association (APA) Council of Representatives. His receipt of the Urie Bronfenbrenner Award for Lifetime Contribution to Developmental Psychology in the Service of Science and Society memorialized Lew's contributions to children's well-being.
