Abstract
Abstract Tandem Claisen rearrangement promoted by Et2AlCl and 2-methyl-2-butene has produced better results than thermal rearrangement at synthesizing a new type of macrocycles containing phenolic moieties, from the corresponding macrocyclic polyether compound in a dramatically fast reaction with a good yield under mild conditions.
