Abstract

Human Resources departments face the unique challenge of providing increased employee services while maintaining staff levels and reducing costs. To reduce costs and the administrative task load on HR, companies will increasingly use technology to educate and provide information to employees. Companies are looking for a system that will integrate with their existing HRMS and those of company benefit providers, allowing such services as online enrollment and other selfservice benefit transactions as well as serving as a gateway to knowledge portals. Knowledge portals make it easier for employees to find answers by recognizing an individual user and bringing information focused on that particular user’s needs to the forefront. With so many workers experiencing information overload, simpler methods of accessing data and using online benefits systems are greatly needed.
