Abstract
Vision care remains one of the greatest unmet health needs. Hispanic and Black patients have fewer outpatient ophthalmologic visits than their non-Hispanic White counterparts, as do the uninsured compared to the insured, those with less income and education compared to those with greater affluence and more education, and those living in the Midwestern, southern, or western United States. Many factors affect how we can address issues such as race, ethnicity, income, insurance coverage, etc.
