Abstract
The odd-$A$ Y isotopes $^{85}\mathrm{Y}$ and $^{87}\mathrm{Y}$ are studied in a semimicroscopic model which couples the proton quasiparticle motion to the quadrupole vibrations of the neighboring even core. The calculated results are in good agreement with recent ($^{3}\mathrm{He},d$) data.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE $^{85,87}\mathrm{Y}$; calculated levels, $J$, $\ensuremath{\pi}$, $S$, $B (E2)$, $B (M1)$.
