Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of satisfaction of Non-Saudi students at King Saud University on the quality of university life. The study followed the descriptive analytical method. The study population consisted of all Non-Saudi male students enrolled in the various science and human discilines at King Saud University during the second semester of the academic year 2017/2016. The total number of students was (2361), 20% (472) of which made the proposed sample. They were randomly selected. 400 students responded with a return rate of (83%). To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of (66) items divided into four dimensions. The results of the study showed that the level of satisfaction of Non-Saudi students at King Saud University on the quality of university life was high in all dimensions and the questionnaire as a whole. The results showed no statistically significant differences between the satisfaction means of Non-Saudi students at King Saud University on the quality of university life in all dimensions and the questionnaire as a whole due to the variable of specialization. As for the cumulative rate variable, there were no statistically significant differences in the dimension of faculty members / professors, while there were statistically significant differences in the other dimensions: (university administrators, classmates, courses) and the questionnaire as a whole in favor of (excellent, very good). The study proposed several recommendations, the most important of which are: First: Introducing the concept of quality of university life in some university courses; Second: Studying the relationship between the quality of university life and other psychological concepts such as achievement motivation, self-esteem, center of control, mental health; Third: Conducting other studies using new independent variables which aimed at comparing Saudi universities, Arab and Islamic countries, and making suggestions for improving them.
