Abstract

A 15-year-old girl presented with subacute vision loss in the left eye for one week without history of eye injury. Her visual acuity was 20/16 in the right eye and hand motion in the left eye. Inflammation in the anterior chamber and leukocoria caused by severe vitreous opacities were observed in the left eye (A). The left fundus was invisible. On examination, the right eye was normal. Laboratory studies ruled out syphilis, tuberculosis, tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis syndrome, and sarcoidosis.
