Abstract

In connection with recent discussion of the nomenclature of ilmenite alteration products, and particularly with reference to the proposal for a unified system of terminology, cites examples from observations of the titaniferous constituents of beach sands and other sediments of southeast Australia which illustrate some of the unresolved problems regarding the processes of leucoxenization.
