Abstract

Serum bile acid measurements are not routinely performed in our laboratory and we are not aware of normative values for preterm infants. Thus we must make do with more arcane liver function tests to monitor hepatic normality. The absence of neurologic toxicity in our small patients was documented on serial observation's of their performance on the Brazelton scale (modified for prematures).
