Abstract

The SciencesVolume 20, Issue 3 p. 6-13 Letters of J. Robert Oppenheimer ALICE KIMBALL SMITH, ALICE KIMBALL SMITH J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the most dramatic figures in the science of this century, was a prolific and gifted writer of letters. His unpublished correspondence has been collected and edited by Alice Kimball Smith, Dean Emerita of the Bunting Institute at Radcliffe College, and Charles Weiner, Professor of History of Science and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
