TO THE EDITOR: We read with great interest the article by Bonow et al.1 (Bonow RH, Witt CE, Mossa-Basha M, et al. Aspirin versus anticoagulation for stroke prophylaxis in blunt cerebrovascular injury: a propensity-matched retrospective cohort study. J Neurosurg. 2021;135[5]:1413-1420). The authors have meticulously conducted a retrospective cohort study, including all patients with blunt cerebrovascular injury (BCVI) who were treated over a span of 10 years at a regional level I trauma center.
