Seiffge et al.1 evaluated the effect of direct, non–vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (DOACs) or vitamin K antagonists on intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) and recurrent ischemic events in patients with acute ischemic stroke or TIA and nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF).
