While with the U.S. Army at Red-stone Arsenal, Alabama, we observed a patient with marked hyperoxaluria and bilateral nephrolithiasis associated with a large Meckel's diverticulum. After surgical resection of the diverticulum, urinary oxalate excretion returned to normal.In March 1971, a 46-year-old man had spinal X rays for back pain that showed degenerative changes and bilateral nephrolithiasis confirmed by intravenous pyelogram.
