"The Eighth Annual ACM-SIGMIS Reception," to be held as an ACM-SIGMIS event prior to the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS2008) in Paris, France on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Where: International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS2008) Paris, France, Le Palais des Congres, Room not yet assigned When: Saturday, December 13, 2008, 5:30 to 7:00 pm Who: All ACM-SIGMIS members and their invited guests are welcome The forthcoming SIGMIS CPR'09 Conference will be held May 28-30 2009 in Limerick, Ireland. Organized and hosted by the University of Limerick, this conference venue is 3 miles from Limerick city centre and 20 miles from Shannon International Airport, with a scenic 300 acre riverside campus. The theme of this year's conference is "New Concepts and Practices in Preparing, Recruiting, and Retaining IS Professionals in the Global Context." Accepted papers will be published by ACM in the refereed conference proceedings which will be distributed at the conference. Additionally, the 2009 conference will include a doctoral student consortium on Thursday, May 28, 2009. An award for best doctoral consortium paper will be presented.
