Abstract

To the Editor .—The report by Tan and Murugasu 1 of congenital pyloric atresia in siblings is the sixth family, not the first, in the literature. One 2 of the other four reports 2-5 was published in your journal. Contrary to the statement of Tan and Murugasu listing only 17 cases of pyloric or prepyloric atresia in the world literature, there are at least 51 cases of familial and nonfamilial pyloric atresia 4 and the addition of three recent reports 1,5,6 adding eight more cases, makes the total 59.
