Abstract
“LET US GUIDE YOU” is a collection of theatre pieces, mainly monologues, curated by Bilal Baig. This collection, by and for two-spirit/trans/non-binary performers, imagines a new world for theatre after the pandemic. Gesturing to the lived reality of 2s, trans, and non-binary people, Baig suggests that trans theatre artists, who are so adept at surviving, containing multitudes inside their being, and adapting to change, may be the most exciting guides to lead theatre through these uncertain times. But it may not be theatre as we knew it before but one that is more authentic, radical, and self-accepting. Works are featured by Nick Benz, joey o’dael, Angel Glady, Merlin Simard, Tijiki Morris, and Kama La Mackerel.
