Abstract
AbstractThe main aim of this study was to examine the content of the travel blogs of millennial female Muslim travellers and understand the meanings and directives in such writing. The theoretical framework of critical media discourse analysis was used to frame the study, while Leximancer and content analysis were used to analyse data. Key results extended beyond specifying the need for halal food and included supporting female travel, and specifying quite specific Muslim‐friendly requirements. Further, the desire to reduce negative stereotypes of Islam was identified and advocacy that Muslim women seize travel opportunities was highlighted.
