Abstract
The June 1987 Plenum of the CPSU Central Committee advanced the demand for radical price reform. This was the subject of the decree of the CPSU Central Committee and the USSR Council of Ministers On the Basic Directions of Restructuring of Price Formation under the New Economic Mechanism. However, the overwhelming majority of publications are still discussing not radical price reform, but rather, which groups of commodities should be targeted for higher prices.
