Lessons Learned on IDEA from the Astro2020 Decadal Survey

Highlights

  • Task #9 of the ongoing Planetary Science and Astrobiology Decadal Survey 2023 is to provide a clear exposition of “[t]he state of the profession including issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility, the creation of safe workspaces, and recommended policies and practices to improve the state of the profession.”1 This is similar to the task undertaken by the Decadal Survey on Astronomy and Astrophysics 2020 (Astro2020)2 to assess the state of the profession
