In “Lessons in Manufacturing Efficiency: 12 by 12,” we explore how manufacturing efficiency principles can revolutionize operating room (OR) management. By addressing inefficiencies and adopting strategies like throughput accounting and the Theory of Constraints, this paper proposes a model for enhancing OR throughput, quality of care, and patient outcomes.
