Abstract

Combining immune receptor engineering with conditional expression of accessory molecules holds great promise for advancing the field of cell-based immunotherapies. In this issue of Cancer Cell, Smole etal. introduce a modular single vector system to simultaneously redirect Tcell specificity toward cancer antigens while achieving activation-gated delivery of customizable payloads.
