Abstract

The concept of the « Trente Glorieuses » has profoundly marked the historical representations of the second half of the twentieth century and the teaching of this period. However, the notions of progress, economic growth and technical innovation, generally associated with this concept, produced effects that have long remained hidden. Environmental History makes it possible to nuance the sometimes sacralized depiction of these years. This article presents an educational module on the history of pollution in Switzerland. The conclusions and didactic reflections are produced thanks to an exercise carried out by students.
