Abstract

Erectile dysfunction, the persistent or recurrent inability to achieve and/or maintain an erection sufficient to allow satisfactory sexual activity, is a public health issue. The range of therapeutic options is vast, from pharmacological treatments to surgical treatments. For good patient adherence to treatment, therapeutic education is essential. However, the limited time available in urology consultations does not favor optimal information, which could be facilitated by a dedicated nurse consultation. The objective of this article is to present to nurses the different treatments for erectile dysfunction and the importance of a dedicated nurse consultation.
