Abstract

Italian Upper Palaeolithic burials. Upper Palaeolithic mortuary practices are well documented in Italy, where more than 50 burials were discovered so far, representing the most important European group. The skeletons of at least 60 individuals were discovered in these burials, seven of which were double and one was triple. Some of them are Gravettian, but most can be attributed to Epigravettian.
