Abstract

Abstract Describes a series of Sannoisian (Oligocene) lacustrine beds deposited in an Eocene synclinal basin southeast of Tours, France, with special reference to siliceous limestones and millstones into which they grade laterally in places and by which they are overlain in places. It is concluded that the siliceous beds represent a karst facies.
