Abstract

The Semantic Roots of Antisionism : from the religious definition to the national rejection About the Formation and Organization of a doxa. The indications given by lexicographical records show that the theological, and in particular Christian perception has strongly fixed the common representation of the Jewish identity. This investigation is an attempt to demonstrate, once the necessary distinction between exogenous and endogenous conception of identity has been made, that the religious categorization of the Jewish fact represents, before any political or sociological consideration, one of the main obstacles for the understanding of sionism. The semantic analysis used by the author is therefore essential if anyone wants to exercise his or her individual critical judgment on the referred matter.
