The quite recent discovery of the Laurentides let us identify the respective contribution of explorers, Jesuits, geologists, geomorphologists, geographers, botanists and residents to the drawing up of a scientific corpus. Quebecers keep loving feelings with this ecumene as we can see in painting and littérature. In the course of the last century the word "Laurentides" moved around in Quebec and Canada, producing a jumbled situation.
