Abstract

Abstract Describes the Charade massif, an extinct Pliocene volcano, and the Gravenoire massif, an extinct Quaternary volcano, near Clermont-Ferrand, France. Both are located in the fault zone between the Oligocene formations of the Limagne plain and granitic formations of the Puy-de-Dome plateau.
