Abstract
Abstracts. - Avalanche accidents in the Alps (1975-1989). In this paper, we analyse data concerning the avalanche accident deaths' in the five countries covering the Alps (France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Germany) during a period of 14 years (1975-1989). More than 1600 victims are compiled, distributed in 7 types of activity. Results are graphicaly presented by country and activity. Today, "mountain ski" and "off piste ski" represent 3/4 of total victims killed by avalanches.
