Abstract

We present a refined and corrected version of our Regge analysis of inelastic muon pair production by proton-proton collision. The role of the different high-energy limits (fragmentation, pionization) is studied in full detail, both for the amplitude and for the structure functions. The possibility of Bjorken-scaling is discussed. We succeeded in giving a very simple physical interpretation of the results of the BNL-Columbia experiment.
