Abstract

This article is intended to be a comprehensive review of the physics of lepton and photon production in hadron-hadron physics. It covers both the recent exciting experimental results and our present understanding of the underlying mechanisms responsible for both lepton and photon production in hadron induced processes. The particle in particular tries to throw some light on the more controversial points, often suggesting possible avenues of further research. The layout and topics covered are made clear from a table of contents.
