Abstract

Abstract This chapter focuses on Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) attacking potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) in Canada, and provides an overview of the biological control agents (entomogenous fungus (Beauveria bassiana), entomopathogenic bacterium (Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. tenebrionis) entomophilic nematode (Steinernema carpocapsae), parasitoid (Edovum puttleri) and predators (including Podisus maculiventris and Perillus bioculatus)) that have been used to date for its management, and the evaluation of effectiveness of these biological control agents. Future research prospects are recommended.
