Abstract

The report of the CPSU Central Committee to the Twenty-sixth Party Congress contained an appeal to the representatives of the various social sciences: We must analyze phenomena of the political life of society more boldly and more profoundly. (1) Among the phenomena which deserve philosophical analysis and generalization are, in our view, the events of the modern era having to do with the broad experience of the rise of revolutionary democratic states as a transitional stage on the way to the achievement of full political power by the workers, by the working class. The emergence and development of such states, and later the transformation of revolutionary democratic state power into socialist state power, testifies to the fact that despite the universality of the laws of socialist revolution and social construction, different ways and forms exist whereby the working class gains state control over society.
