Abstract
Lenin's teaching about culture that is socialist in content and national in form has been the theoretical basis of cultural construction in our country since the first days following the Great October Socialist Revolution. Cultural problems in the broadest sense of the word have always occupied the attention of the founders of Marxism. Starting with his first steps in revolutionary and theoretical activity, V. I. Lenin devoted his unflagging attention to these questions. It was Lenin who developed a comprehensive theory about the essence of socialist culture and the avenues of its development. He first used the term cultural revolution in the article On Cooperation in 1923, and he substantiated and developed the idea of the possibility of diffusing genuine culture among the broad masses of the working people over a period of many years after the seizure of state and political power by the proletariat.
